Nottinghamshire Heritage Forum was founded in 2011 with members from Local Authority, University and independent museums, heritage attractions and sites throughout the county.

The Forum provides a friendly network of support, enabling members to share information, discuss current issues and take part in training.

Our Aims

  1. To promote, support, develop and represent the interests of Forum members within the county of Nottinghamshire
  2. To encourage continuation and improvement of liaison and support from statutory authorities
  3. To maintain a Forum network of contacts and to encourage co-operation amongst Forum members
  4. To promote the improvements in the standards of care and management of museums and heritage collections
  5. To promote access to collections and associated information for all inhabitants and visitors to the county of Nottinghamshire
  6. To assist in the identification of funding opportunities for the benefit of members
