We’re a small charity, established over 26 years ago and based in Edwinstowe. Our mission is to conserve, protect and celebrate the nature and heritage of the large area of Nottinghamshire that was once the Royal Hunting Forest of Sherwood.
Though many of our projects are focussed on heathland and woodland conservation, each year we also manage a number of local heritage projects.
In 2021 these included the ‘Spirit of Wartime Sherwood‘ WW2 project, and a volunteer-led study focussed on the archaeological work of 18th century antiquarian Major Hayman Rooke.
