Join us on Wednesday, 15th March from 1.00-4.00pm at Mansfield Museum for our first meeting of 2023, where we’ll have the opportunity to learn about working with memory and reminiscence in museum and heritage settings, to share with one another and to network.
Jodie Henshaw, Curator of Mansfield Museum, will present about the museum’s Reminiscence Tea Room – a monthly sharing session for people with memory impairment, their friends and families – and there will be an opportunity to see the work ‘in action’ during a live Tea Room session. Susan Clayton, Volunteer Curator of Flintham Museum, will share the museum’s work creating the ‘Daisy Game’ and working with it in memory cafes, nursing homes and social settings. There will be time to share news with one another, network and enjoy light refreshments (included with your registration) during the meeting.
Forum meetings are open to members and non-members alike. Non-members can ‘try us out’ as observers for up to two meetings before membership of the Forum is required. We’re a friendly and supportive group and hope you’ll consider joining us. For information about Forum membership, please see: https://www.nottsheritage.co.uk/featured/
